Greenville Drive-In’s custom beer garden made from shipping pallets.

IMG_6447 IMG_6449 IMG_6450Two weeks and a bunch of saw-zall blades later… We perfected the dismantling of pallets so that we could use the whole Pallet and nothing but the whole pallet. We also learned which pallets not to use such as the Pallets marked MB for Methyl Bromide. A good rule of thumb is to not use any unstamped pallets as they may be poisonous. What you want to use are the ones marked HT(heat-treated)

The dimensions of the complete garden are roughly 35′ x 40′ x 35′ x 40′. The back wall is slightly reclined custom pallet seating for your viewing pleasure. The far wall and front wall are fence using existing pallets, and the near wall is made up of planters.

Pallet seating finished with stain, custom cushions, new retro spealers that are wired for sound. (Click on pic to take you to the Drive-in)

Historic Pillar Candle Holders (Limited sets available).

Candle holders lined with tin from a recycled feta cheese can. Fits 2.8 cm pillar candles. Limited sets available (60$ per set plus shipping). Made with 200-year-old reclaimed Trinity pine. We rescued the 4″x 12″ beams during a construction phase at the base of the historic Trinity Church Bell tower in lower Manhattan.

Dismantling a defunct Bally Ground Shaker pinball machine.

The Pinball coffee table design of the main body was not just as simple as chopping the legs and making them shorter, but a complete tear down and redesign to include magazine storage and working lights. The other challenge I gave myself was to us all the original pieces including the original glass, side rails, side panels. The original legs were cut in half and reworked to be used for both tables. Here is half of the story on video.

“My son loves the lamp”

Thanks for the great review Mammamia! “My son loves the Lamp”

HAZARD SIGN CHANDELIER: “My son loves this lamp”
II love the idea that this light fixture can follow my son as he grows and remind him of his youth. It’s fun and whimsical but also has a sophisticated, wry timeless air to it. I also personally think it’s a funny in-joke for me … As a parent all we try to do is protect them from danger and harm so to hang a light that says “toxic” and “danger” seems just about right.
